Aerodromes WW1 Sussex.

Sussex played a big part in the battle for the air during the Great War, not only with aeroplanes, but with Airships, sent out to patrol the English Channel , submarine spotting. More on the Airship page.

 

Aerodromes, this list is incomplete , there were more, but to start with, the list is.

 

Eastbourne.

    I have in my possession a card which reads London Command Depot 1918.On the envelope the
    postmark seems to be FORCHAM CAMP Sussex. Can anybody shed any light as to where this camp was or indeed is,as I cant seem to find any record of it anywhere.Thank you in anticipation.
